Buying Guide: Factors to Consider

Display Technology

Choose between OLED and QLED technologies, as both offer excellent color reproduction and contrast. OLED TVs deliver perfect blacks and wider viewing angles, while QLED TVs provide higher brightness levels.

Screen Size and Resolution

Consider the room size and viewing distance when selecting a screen size. Larger screens are ideal for spacious rooms, while smaller screens work well in compact spaces. Opt for 4K or 8K resolution for the best image quality.

Smart Features

Ensure the TV offers smart features such as streaming apps, voice assistants, and customizable interfaces for seamless integration into your smart home ecosystem.

Design and Customization

Select a TV that complements your home décor with options for custom bezels, stands, and wall mounting solutions.

Budget

Determine your budget and choose a TV that offers the best combination of design, performance, and features within your price range.

The Frame TV is the more affordable option but the LG Gallery is the higher quality option.

Important Information about the Samsung Frame and the One Connect Box

It is important to address the One Connect Box that comes with The Frame TV. We highly recommend NOT buying a Frame TV to mount over a fireplace.

If you have an outlet above the fireplace, it doesn’t help. The reason is you can’t plug in the One Connect Box because the TV sits too close to the wall.

You have to install a large box behind the TV that hides the One Connect Box. You have to cut a 17-inch hole in the wall to accomplish this. Some people don’t want to cut a hole that size in their wall. Also, newer homes are built with a tunnel that is placed over the fireplace to hide the wire. This is not possible with the Frame TV because the wire is too big to fit through the tunnel. Again, you will have to install a 17-inch One Connect Box.
