Sit where you'll most often watch TV. This is typically the center of your couch or main viewing chair.
Use a tape measure from your eyes (seated) to where the TV will be mounted or placed. Round to the nearest foot.
Measure the width of your wall or entertainment center. Leave at least 2-3 inches on each side of the TV.
