Mounting a TV usually takes an hour, but it can be faster or slower depending on some factors. Behind-the-wall wire concealment and brick or concrete walls can make the installation longer. You should plan for 1 hour per TV as a general rule.
Typically, the cost of TV installation includes the installation of components such as game consoles, cable boxes, and DVRs, unless there is a special circumstance. Installing devices like Xboxes, Playstations, and DVD players is considered a normal part of TV installation and is included in the cost.
When booking a TV installation, there are 3 main types of mounting brackets to choose from: flat, tilting, and full motion. Outside-the-wall wire concealment: This method uses a plastic wire cover to hide the wires without making big holes in the wall. It is ideal for rented places, as the cover can be painted to match the wall color. You can buy a wire concealment kit from here.
Inside the wall wire concealment: This method gives your TV a clean and floating look by moving the electrical outlet behind your TV and hiding the wires inside the wall. It requires more time and expertise than the outside-the-wall method. We cannot do this for fireplaces. You will need a licensed electrician for this.
