Needed a 75" tv mounted in our basement and wanted it before Christmas break to enjoy. The services at the big-box retailers were overpriced and scheduled a couple weeks out. Zach did an amazing job mounting our 2 TVs! We had to reschedule our original appointment because there was some trouble with our tv delivery from Best Buy. When they were finally delivered & we reached out to Handy Andy TV Mounting, Zach came out the same day to install them. We chose to have the wires hidden behind the wall so they weren't seen & he did a beautiful job. He even gave us an extra extension cord & secured it to the bottom of the trim along the wall so that the wires weren't left loosely all over the place. 👉 Ryan, the guy on the right, is our lead technician. He’s seriously into TVs and home theater. Ryan is by far the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met when it comes to TVs and home entertainment systems. He has been with us for almost 5 years and has successfully mounted over 10,000 TVs! There’s no TV or setup he hasn’t handled at least once.
👈 Steve, the guy on the left (sometimes affectionately called “Dundee” because of his stylish hat), has been a handyman for over 30 years. He’s seen it all. Steve combines great attention to detail with extensive knowledge. Not only is he excellent at installing TVs, but he’s also skilled at various handyman tasks. When you want something fixed right, Steve is the guy to call. It doesn’t hurt that Steve is the friendliest person you’ll ever meet.
TV Mounting F.A.Q.
On average, mounting a TV takes around an hour, but it can take less than 20 minutes in some cases. However, factors such as behind-the-wall wire concealment and mounting on a brick or concrete wall can increase the installation time. It’s best to expect each TV to take around 1 hour as this is the average time.
Typically, the cost of TV installation includes the installation of components such as game consoles, cable boxes, and DVRs, unless there is a special circumstance. Installing devices like Xboxes, Playstations, and DVD players is considered a normal part of TV installation and is included in the cost.
When booking a TV installation, there are 3 main types of mounting brackets to choose from: flat, tilting, and full motion. There are many variables to consider when making this decision, and if you are unsure which bracket to choose, the best course of action is to call us. Our recommendation: Tilting TV brackets are compatible with most TVs and can be used in a variety of settings. They allow tilting the TV up or down for adjusting the viewing angle. For outside-the-wall wire concealment, we use a plastic wire cover to conceal the wires. This method is effective in avoiding large holes in the wall and is recommended when renting your place. The plastic cover can be painted for a nearly invisible installation. You can get a wire concealment kit here.
For inside-the-wall wire concealment, select this option if you’re looking for a clean and floating look for your TV. In this method, we move your electrical outlet behind your TV to conceal the wires and give your TV an upscale look. However, please note that this will add an additional 30 minutes or more to your installation time. We are unable to move outlets over fireplaces. You will need a licensed electrician to accomplish this.
